Import form one site to another not working

    HI There,
    Trying to import work I was doing on one site to another. Import is not uploading even though I followed the steps in ‘how to import a site’. There aren’t any components that upload. I’m afraid that if I delete the site, I will delete all the work i put in. I simply want to transfer all info from one site over to the other site. Any suggestions?

    Hi marinamason,

    WordPress.com importer imports posts, pages, comments and media but not plugins, themes or site settings.

    Also, if you will be using a business plan, it supports third party themes and plugins. If you have have that there may be some other import options.

    Hi there,

    Please don’t delete anything. If you delete a site, you won’t be able to use the same address again.

    From which site did you export, and to which site are you importing?

    Are you using the importer at My Site ->Settings? Please make sure you are importing the file that ends in .xml, and not a file that ends in .zip. If you have a .zip file you’ll first need to extract it before you can upload the .xml file inside it.

    Hi I’m try to upload the .xml file for import and immediately I get notified that I have violated the terms of condition?! WTF!!
