Import from another site stuck and progress bar not moving for 2 hours

Hi – Im trying to migrate my self-hosted wordpress site to wordpress.com and following this instruction: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-an-entire-wordpress-site/.
However the migration process stuck at “Backing up ” and the progress bar is not moving for 2 hours.
Im not able to interact with the site and whatever i click the system will redirect me to the “Import in progress” page.
Im not sure what should I do in this case and would like to seek for advise.

This is sometimes normal — when the source site (your current site) has many files (images, videos, themes, plugins, etc.), the initial backup may take some time to create.
We can investigate if it takes more than a day and is still stuck.
