Import from blogger

Hello! I am trying to transition from Blogger to WordPress, since I like the UI SO MUCH more with WordPress! However, I’m finding that when I export from Blogger and then Import into WordPress, I immediately use 68% of my available storage. I can only assume that some of the Blogger images are quite large. Do you know of any way to reduce the size of the import so that I can maintain everything at one site? The only other option I can think of is to maintain all previous posts at Blogspot, but I’m not sure that will be sustainable either. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have continued to look for ideas on this and am coming up empty handed. This is a small, personal blog that only a small group of friends and family read, so I really don’t want to get into paying for monthly fees.

I really want to be on WordPress, particularly since I love the photo gallery options. I have found a system for posting reduced sized photos for posts moving forward, but I still worry that it won’t take too long to burn through my 32% remaining after the blogger import.

I keep thinking there must be some workaround for reducing Blogger export size or SOMETHING!! What am I missing??
