Import from Blogger

  If I am only using a free site, can I still import from Blogger?
  I tried it today, and my activity log says that the import was complete, but I don’t see any of my old posts.
  Thanks for any insight!

  Hi –

  Yes, of course :) There’s no problem importing on to a free site. I don’t see any import files pending or stuck for that site with the Blogger import tool.

  Could you give it one more try from here: https://getintothepink.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=blogger

  It may take up to 24 hrs to complete, but typically it’s quick and you get an email once it is finished up.

  Take a look at the posts on the site. Were all of these written with WordPress.com or are they the imported ones?

  Thanks, lizkarkoski, I tried again and it seems third time’s a charm! I actually started over completely, and I guess it was my export that was the actual problem–when I created the xml this time, the file was much larger, so I guess it somehow didn’t work right the first two times so there probably wasn’t really anything to import. Thanks again!

  Great! That suggests the import file may have been incomplete or broken to begin with. I’m glad to hear it worked this time around and thanks for keeping us updated :)
