Import From Blogger to WordPress is frozen

I started my Import from my Blogger account to my new WordPress account just over 24 hours ago. I had roughly 35 000 posts to import and it reached (roughly) the 50% mark (17 155) posts at around lunchtime yesterday and has been frozen there ever since. Everyone I’ve talked to and everything I’ve read has said that changing from Blogger to WordPress is super easy so why is mine now working? I haven’t been able to blog for about three months now because of issues with Blogger and I would really like to get transferred to WordPress and be able to communicate within my blog again. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

This type of thing commonly happens with larger files (certainly when you’re getting up to 30,000 posts) when your Internet connection is unstable. Is the import still stuck now, or have you had a chance to clear your browser cache and try again?

The import is still showing as stuck at about 50% (17,155 posts). How do I stop the import so that I can clear my browser cache and try again? Also thank you for your response.

Thank you so much for your help. I will clear my browser cache this evening and start the import again early tomorrow morning and see if that speeds things along. I will give a progress update sometime tomorrow. Again, thank you.

Good Morning! I cleared my browser history/cache last night and started the import this morning and it worked – almost instantaneously which actually freaked me out that it worked SO fast this morning. But I went to my WordPress blog (as if I were one of my friends and family looking at it) and it is all there. HOWEVER, there are several (pre-created I assume) blog posts in front of my posts that I’ve imported and I want to delete them. Can you tell me the best way to find some tutorials to help me now make my blog look how I want it to? Also, on the right hand side is a “Hello I’m Emily” introduction spot which obviously isn’t me and I assume I can change that as well but I don’t know how. Sorry, I am probably asking lots of stupid questions but figure I should get as much help from a human while I can. Again, thank you SO much for attending to this and helping me. I was feeling very frustrated and I’m excited now even though the task of getting my blog looking the way I want, and then catching up on 14 weeks of blogging is going to be a mammoth task.
