Import from existing Typo (rails) blog
-
Hi,
You guys were able to run an import for me in the past:
Would you be able to do that again, from:
http://padovachronicles.welton.it/
To the newly created “blogtherealitaly” I just started setting up?
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there David,
I’d be glad to help you with this one. Can you kindly go through the same instructions that my colleague Adam provided in your previous discussion, but this time logging into “padovachronicles.welton.it”?
Can you log into your existing site (http://padovachronicles.welton.it/) and then go to Admin > Settings? You’ll need to change the number of articles in the RSS feed to more than the number of articles you have now. (It seems you have 12 articles now.)
Once that’s done, let me know!

Hey David!
I’ve successfully imported the contents of “padovachronicles.welton.it” to your WordPress.com blog at “blogtherealitaly.wordpress.com”. Can you kindly look around if everything looks good?

Thank you!

We seem to be missing a few images – is there any way to automate that?
For instance:
http://blogtherealitaly.wordpress.com/2009/06/06/funny-products-2/
http://padovachronicles.welton.it/2009/06/06/funny-products
That’s not the case for all of them though. This one survived:
http://blogtherealitaly.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/well-thats-what-theyre-for/
Although it appears it’s still pointing at the old image on the other server.

Hey David!
Sorry about that. During both imports, the images in your old blogs were not included because the imports relied only on RSS feeds. I’m afraid that the only way to get them to show again is to edit the posts and update the image tags, or upload them to your Media Library and reinsert them into the posts.

Please let me know if you need any additional help regarding this. Thanks!
