import from files and folders

    Hi there,

    I have downloaded all the files and folders from a privately hosted wordpress site that is no longer accessible online. I’d like to import those to a wordpress.com site but see that there is no FTP access. How do I make an XML file or complete this import?

    Hello Nick,

    There are several imports that we allow here at WordPress.com.

    Here are the various types of exports we support:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

    If you are unable to convert your files into one of the accepted formats listed in the link above, you can contact an online web service that will convert your file. That isn’t a tool that we have available here.
