Import from Posterous Issue

Add topic to favorites
The xml file will not upload. I am importing a posterous site and was able to do two of them successfully already. This last one is giving me issues. It tells me that it is not an .xml file that I am uploading when really it is. I have tried to redownload the file from posterous and rename the file with .xml on the end, no such luck. Any help?

Thanks for the links. I see 7 posts and 5 pages on your WordPress.com site. I’m not able to open the Posterous site at the moment, so I’m not sure how many posts and pages it has.

If there are still posts missing on the WordPress.com side, please let me know and I’ll send you an email so you can get your export file to me and I can take a look. Thanks!

Yes, I have 39 posts on the posterous site. It is a private site, but if need be I can make it public. The 7 posts on the WordPress have been added since our merge and not on Posterous.

Thanks for the file. I was able to successfully import your content into a test site, so it looks like the export file itself is OK.

I could try importing into your live WordPress.com site if you like.

Your Posterous posts come from three users that’ll need to be mapped to WordPress.com equivalents: loomist14, mustangbengals, and shirsch16.

Your WordPress.com site has two users: madisonblazefootball and shirschfield.

If you let me know which Posterous users you’d like mapped to which WordPress.com users I’ll be glad to try the import for you.
