Import from self-hosted wordpress never ends

    I uploaded an xml export from a self-hosted WordPress 3.2.1 installation, but after 3 days the entries are not showing in my wordpres.com blog.

    When I go to Tools > Import > WordPress it says “We’re processing your import…”, but there aren’t any new entries nor comments showing up in the Dashboard.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    The imports sometimes get hung up, but staff can unstick them. I’ll mark this thread for staff assistance. Note–it’s the weekend so that sometimes means it takes a staff a little longer to get through their queue.

    Note: Staff works from oldest to newest in the “modlook” queue and commenting on a thread makes it new again, so if you want to check on progress, it’s better to click the “modlook” tag in the right column than it is to post to the thread again, as reposting means you lose your place in line.

    The “modlook” queue seems to be a bit backed up right now (you can check it yourself by clicking the “modlook” tag in the right corner.

    Note: they check from the bottom up, so when you comment on your threads, you actually end up going back to the end of the line.

    So, while I know it’s hard to wait, it’s in your best interest to leave your threads alone while you wait.

    @cssheinle– the best thing is to start your own thread stating you need your importer reset. Add the tag “modlook” when you create the post or afterwards in the column on the right. A staff member will help you as soon as they can.
