I can’t import content from squarespace to wordpress

I’m trying to import squarespace blog to wordpress, I’ve followed this steps:
1. Export from squarespace to get the xml files
2. Import the xml files in wordpress
3. Import Movable Type or TypePad
4. I select the xml file and I press Upload file and importand I get the following message:
“We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”

I created the XML files, and I tried to import it in to WordPress as it’s showed in the blog, but after step 4 “Assign your Authors, or have WordPress automatically create them” I get the message and the articles are not import.

We do not currently have a Squarespace importer tool, but we hope to have one in the near future.
The best way to receive updates about this would be to follow the WordPress.com blog at http://en.blog.wordpress.com/ .

I imported content from squarespace, but the photos are missing. Is there any way to recover them?

How did you import the content – did you use an RSS feed?
At this point we don’t have a way to bring the photos over automatically. In time, we hope that we can provide that service as well.
