  When you import from tumblr do the posts publish automatically?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When you import from any platform into a WordPress.com blog yes the posts are published on the blog you import them into. See here for details http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-tumblr/

  Thanks timethief. I had read the stuff about importing, but it never says the import automatically publishes the post(s).

  It turns out the import brings your tumblr posts over in the same state they are in on tumblr. If it is Published it imports as Published. If it is a Draft, it will import as a Draft.

  If you’re planning on copying a tumblr post and pasting it into WordPress, as I was doing, and you don’t want published posts to post automagically, set them as Draft in tumblr first. Then, run the import from WordPress.
