Import from tumblr hasn't finished

Hi,
about two weeks ago I backed my tumblr blog to wordpress. Or more like I tried to do it, because the import doesn’t appear to have finished. It still shows as “in progress” and I can’t import any new post. I tried disconnecting my tumblr account and connecting it again, but there is no effect. I would really appreciate some help with this problem.

No problem. How about we try these few steps and see if that works?
Try clearing out your browser cache and then follow the steps provided below.
1. Firstly, you need to connect your WordPress account with your Tumblr account. Here is how you can do so:
My Site (s) –> Customiser–>Sharing–>Tumblr
2. Next you can try an import of your Tumblr blog from WordPress.com customiser.
My Site (s) –> Customiser–>Import–>Tumblr (You might not see the Tumblr option immediately, in such a case click on Other importers link and look for Tumblr)
3. Now once you find the Tumblr option in the new pop out window, it will display your list of Tumblr posts/blogs. You can now click on Run Importer, then click on Import this blog for the blog you wish to import.Hope this helps you with importing your Tumblr posts into your WordPress.com site. If that doesn’t work let us know, I will try my best to help you import your blogs from Tumblr.

If the above steps fail, here are a few things you can do :
1. Please respond to this thread sharing the error message you see for a failed Tumblr import.
2. Add a modlook tag to your reply here, which brings your post to the staff’s attention & they will be able to reset the importer for you to try again & succeed.If you are not able to add a modlook tag, its alright, just reply with the error message you see to this thread. I will add the modlook tag for your post.

The chances are that a member of staff will need to reset the importer if it has stalled.

I think I should have been more precise.
The cookies have been cleaned quite a few times already. On both computers I used, because I thought at first it may be just my computer or a browser. My blog has been connected back to tumblr. Imports from my other tumblr blog go without any problems. It’s only this one blog that is stuck. It’s got some posts from there alright, but it won’t move any further. And the space limit is not a problem here, because I haven’t reached it.
Thanks for trying. I saw your other message, too. Where can I find the error message? On the import page I only see the blogs.

No problem at all. I see a modlook tag has been added to this post. Someone from the staff will get in touch with you shortly. That should be helpful.

@themagicrobot is correct — the importer needs resetting from our side and this is something staff will need to do for you. I’ve reset the importer on wilczawisnia.wordpress.com, ready for you to try again. Any content already imported should be skipped during the next attempt and shouldn’t be duplicated.A new import can be started from My Site > Tools > Import:

@mywritingmuscle — thanks for your help with troubleshooting. The modlook tag can be added to any other threads you come across that are related to unfinished or stuck imports, as most often, we need to manually reset the importer :) -
