import from tumblr is taking days to start

In case this thread turns out to be unnecessary I am sorry about that.
I’m concerned something might be wrong with me importing my tumblr blog on wordpress, because it has been connected for days and still it hasn’t even started importing. There aren’t so many days left before tumblr’s ban, so I want to go safe.

I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. It didn’t get stuck. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.

the import started and went on for a bit, without finishing though. Then it’s been stuck for a couple of days again, I don’t know what to expect, nor what to do.
I haven’t disconnected from tumblr at all from the beginning. I’m hopping it’ll be done by Monday. -

It appears the Tumblr import on your site has now failed, so I’ve reset the importer so you can try again.
If it seems to take a while, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re still experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted, but it could be a few days before your new import is processed.
If some posts have already imported they will be skipped by the importer during your next attempt, so they should not be duplicated.

Hello, thanks again.
The page now says that the import has finished, including 970 drafts, but I only see 20 drafts on my actual wordpress. I tried to start the import again but it still says there’s nothing more to import. And, by the way, my tumbler drafts are 985 at the moment.

@enricocecini, you’re welcome to restart the importer again to see if it will pick up more posts.
Unfortunately we can’t tell what’s in the drafts that’s causing them to fail to come through. If they have javascript or iframes or code that isn’t allowed here, that could be an issue.
