Import from Weebly

  Hi,

  I’d like to import my blog from Weebly (www.proudtobeabluenose.co.uk) into WordPress as I’ve decided to move to your blogging platform which seems better.

  I’ve looked on the supported import list (ie Blogger) but didn’t find Weebly on there.

  How would I go about importing my Weebly blog in?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Shane,

  WordPress.com staff did a great job answering a similar question here. To summarize:

  1) At this current time there are no import options other than the formats listed on the supported import list. Therefore Weebly blogs cannot be migrated the import that way.

  2) It is possible to import your Weebly to WordPress.ORG. The differences from WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM can reviewed at

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  3) A possible workaround you may want to try is that you could export your Weebly to one of the formats in the supported listed THEN import again to WordPress.com.

  You require an XML export file of your Weebly content in order to be able to import it into your WordPress.com blog. The guide for imports is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
