import from wordpress not working as expected

Hi,
I have used the import feature on wordpress to bring in my old post on blogspot but the url has been changed a lil bit which makes it difficult to do a client side redirect.
For instance, i have this blog on my old blog :
http://samadesoga.blogspot.com/2011/04/my-notes-from-selenium-conference-2011.html
after the import to wordpress i now have
I would rather not have the day (11) on the wordpress url so that i can do redirect easily.
Could anyone help please

The URL structure on wordpress.com blogs cannot be changed if that’s what you are aiming for. All posts contain the date (year/month/day). Also note that in case this applies to what you are doing creating duplicate content blogs is NOT a good idea.
In the cases in which Google perceives that duplicate content may be shown with intent to manipulate our rankings and deceive our users, we’ll also make appropriate adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the sites involved.
