    Hi @ninjusbox,

I have reset the importer for you. Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you two. The importer worked perfectly now!
I have one more question if you don’t mind:
I just imported about 30 posts from my previous blog (www.newyorkrats.es). This blog was shared with two other bloggers and it has a paid domain. In case it is not renewed and they decide to close the blog, does it mean my Import will disappear from my actual one?

    Thanks a lot

Currently your site newyorkrats.es is a self-hosted WordPress site that has no relation to your new site here on WordPress.com. What this means is that if the domain or hosting expires your site may no longer be available at that domain.

You may want to contact your host regarding the expiration date of your hosting and/or domain.

Your site here on WordPress.com is a forever free plan. The site will stay online (unless you delete it) regardless of your current hosting plan for your previous site.

One option is to map (add) the domain to your site here at WordPress.com. This will allow you to use the domain with our hosting . In other words, instead of having ninjusbox.wordpress.com point to your WordPress.com site you coudl use, newyorkrats.es.

You can find out more about Domain Mapping here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Hopefully this helps to clarify things if not let us know.

Thanks a lot, your answer was very clear. Nonetheless the mapping option is not good for me since I am not the only owner of newyorkrats.es domain.
    My final question is:
any option to migrate my posts from newyorkrats.es to avoid losing my content in case it expires or (other owners) delete it? Or the only option is uploading old posts manually, hopefully not…

    Thank you for your answer

Since the site is a self-hosted WordPress site you will be able to export its content from Tools > Export and then import it into a new WordPress.com site.

If you don’t see Tools > Export you may need to ask another author for more permissions on the site or for the XML export file.

and… I am back again at the same point. I already exported my posts from my self-hosted WordPress and imported to my new wordpress.com site (this one).
My only doubt is, when my self-hosted site expires, am I gonna lose the importation in my actual site? Is there a way to avoid that (some kind of permanent importation instead of a XML file linked to the self-hosted site)?
Sorry if my question has not been clear…

When you imported your site we copied the content including the images from their original location to your new site on WordPress.com all your content is now stored on our servers.

    For example, with this post:
    https://ninjusbox.wordpress.com/2015/04/28/future-after-modeling-i-pablo-the-engineer/

The featured image is now stored at:
    https://i2.wp.com/newyorkrats.es/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/portada-pablo.jpg

However, the URL is still linking to the original location:
    http://newyorkrats.es/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/portada-pablo.jpg

To fix the link location you can edit the post with the updated information.

    I hope this helps.
