I clicked the clear account information button to restart my import but the note says I still have an import running despite both blogs having the ‘import this blog’ option visible. What should I do? Thanks.

Hi. I deleted it and made another one in case I did something wrong. It’s queereldritch.home.blog now. How long on average does an import take? I’ve had it on since yesterday and it says ‘in progress’ but nothing has been imported yet.
Would making my wordpress blog private affect the import?

How long on average does an import take? I’ve had it on since yesterday and it says ‘in progress’ but nothing has been imported yet.
It depends on the size of the site; typically a few minutes to a few hours. But today we’re getting quite a few import requests from other folks moving from Tumblr. They’re queuing up and making a backlog, which is why the import seems slow — chances are it’s just waiting behind other sites that are also being imported right now.
So give your import 24 hours, and if you still have trouble after that, let us know. Also, if you want us to restore the old site name, let us know as well as soon as you can. We have 30 days before the name is deactivated forever.

Hi there,
I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.

It looks like the import on your site has completed – some content has been imported, and no import is currently running.
If you’re still missing posts, please restart the import now – posts already on your WordPress.com site will be skipped by the importer. It might take a while to complete, though, as we’re still seeing a lot of new Tumblr imports being created so there’s still a backlog. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.
