  I am trying to import my blog from xanga, when I download the files they are in a zip file and not an xml, how can I change that to get my old blog on here?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Instructions on how to do a Xanga import are here http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually before your import will show up on WordPress.com.
