import is still running

  Hey-

  It seems like the import of my blog is still running (and it’s been more than 24 hours). How long does it take to complete? Will it migrate all my images over? I’m seeing some images are still on my old blog.

  I’d like to get all my images over from my self hosted site then transfer the domain. What’s the best way to do that.

  The importer gets stuck sometimes. That seems to be what happened here. I’ve reset it for you. Could you try the import again?

  Will it migrate all my images over? I’m seeing some images are still on my old blog.

  The images that are attached to posts or pages with migrate. If you have unattached photos, attaching them to a post (even a random one you don’t really use) will help ensure they move.

  Also note the export process copies your info it doesn’t actually move it–which means all your content will continue to exist on your old site even once it’s all up and running on the new site.
