Import Issue?

  I have successfully uploaded three Xanga XML files (from Blog 1) but cannot import one Xanga XML file (from Blog 2). I have tried to re-upload and still no update to my WordPress. Please help! (I have unzipped and made sure the file is not over the size limit).

  For additional instructions on how to do a Xanga import, please see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually. If you have trouble doing that switch browsers.

  It looks like your most recent import, which was attempted since you posted here, went through.

  Are you still having issues with your import? If so, could you let me know how many files you had for the second import and if you were able to import all of the files or not?

  It did not go through…but it’s an issue with my exported Xanga XML file – the pubDates are not the correct post_dates. And I think that is why WordPress is not recognizing it.

  Could you try creating a new Xanga export file and see if that works? If that doesn’t work, could you upload the .zip folder to a file sharing service like Dropbox so I can take a look at it?

  Just re-downloaded the file and tried to upload to WordPress. Still nothing.

  I’m seeing the posts from this import were successfully imported into your site kiwisplit.wordpress.co/ (they start at https://kiwisplit.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=private&post_type=post&paged=4 ).
