  Hello!
  Classic question, I presume: I’m trying to import posts of my ancient blog to a new wordpress.com blog. I have 300 html pages with comments, but the platform is not in the list of accepted import sites. Do I have a chance to succeed, or must I copy every post and forget the comments?

  Is there any way to export your old site to an XML file? If so, the import tool might work. If not, do you know what type of file is created when you export from your old site?

  When the site died, I exported it into a .zip file. Inside, there are the html files, and one xml file (atom.xml); is it this one? Which import tool has a chance to work among those in the wp import section?

  It’s hard to know for sure if it will work, but try uploading the XML file using the WordPress import tool.

  I was busy those days, but I come back to this import issue.
  I tried to upload the XML file using several import tools among the list of avalaible tools. Most of them didn’t work with my file, but the Posterous did. At least, I got a wordpress notification that the import was completed, but it seems that nothing happend and the notes are still missing…

  We may be out of luck then, but I’d like to try one more thing. I’m going to send you a private email so you can send me the file to be imported. I may be able to make it work.
