Import loading infinitely, says to contact support: only lets me post on forum

My wordpress import has been loading for over a week and nothing is happening. It says to contact support but I cannot. Rather, it just makes a post on the forum where I get no response.

Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
If yes, what is the URL?Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

Thank you for responding. My first post was completely ignored for ten days, so I reposted… obviously a duplicate thread was needed because now anyone paid attention.
The site is currently still online, maybe for only a few more days at this point.
I tried importing from an XML the admin panel let me download. There is a second one someone is trying to import as well from our school and they have the same error on their accounts.

I’m trying to import to my blog a 5.26 GB file [padronel.wordpress.2016-09-19. Opino (568).xml] I exported from a self-hosted blog, but no way: it never shows up in padronel.wordpress.com
However, other importations from same self-hosted blog have worked fine. -
