Import not working

  I was trying to import my tumblr to wordpress. It wasnt working so i did what it said and reset s=it. But now if I try it says ‘You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete.’ I don’t know how to fix this.

  Hi there,

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  Has anyone ACTUALLY been able to import from Tumblr to WordPress in the last 5 days? The problem is there are MILLIONS of people doing the same thing but they only have 9 days to do so. If it’s going to take 6 weeks to move ONE blog, I’d rather know NOW, so I can manually upload EACH post, because the unload feature is NEVER going to work. Can someone from WordPress actually answer THAT question.

  It looks like the import on your site has completed – some content has been imported, and no import is currently running.

  If you’re still missing posts, please restart the import now – posts already on your WordPress.com site will be skipped by the importer. It might take a while to complete, though, as we’re still seeing a lot of new Tumblr imports being created so there’s still a backlog. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.

  Since this influx started on Tuesday we have successfully imported several thousand Tumblr sites, with thousands of posts being processed per minute.

  If you need help with a Tumblr import on your site, please create your own thread at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 and include a link to your site, and we can help you there. Make sure to add the tags modlook and tumblr import to your thread so we don’t miss it.

  We cannot guarantee that any import will complete before content is removed from Tumblr’s end, though.
