Import not working from Typepad

hello, I followed all steps necessary to import a blog from typepad. It even sent me a confirmation email saying the import was successful, however, it doesn’t show. I’ve done another import from typepad to wordpress (seastar8423.jp.wordpress.com) and that is working fine. Please advise how I can fix the problem.

You might try doing another export from Typepad first and see if there was any issue with the export file. If you still can’t get it to work, you can upload your export file to a file sharing service like Dropbox and share that with me so I can get your file and try it myself.

Hi, thank you for your help! I was finally able to manage the export from typepad and import it to wordpress. So the import has been done correctly w/ images. However, do you know if I terminate the service at typepad that the current file (.txt) imported to wordpress would expire as well? That’s what typepad said and my whole point of this transfer was to keep my costs down and not pay any monthly fees to typepad. Please advise if you have any suggestions.

If you have imported your Typepad content to WordPress.com, all of your Typepad content should be available via your WordPress.com Dashboard under Posts, Pages and Media.
You should check to make sure everything is here, and if so, you can safely end your account with Typepad.
