Import not working properly

  Hi, I am trying to import the xml file created from my wordpress.com blog into a new domain via a wordpress one click installation. I have tried up to 10 times, fixing all sorts of things with the help of the host support, but all I get every single time is just one blog post (my very first) and one page on the new site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
