Import problem.

  My import attempt failed, with the following message:

  “We are sorry, but there was an error while performing your blog import to http://queerchurch.wordpress.com
  Please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Where were you importing from? And I noticed that you now have a few dozen posts on your site. Were those imported, and if so how many are you still missing?

  I was importing posts from a self – hosted WP blog, “A Queer Ear for the Rainbow Scriptures” (or it may have been “Queer Saints and Martyrs“- I’m not absolutely sure in which order I was attempting to import the posts), from which I had previously successfully imported pages.

  Yes, I am now populating the site with historic posts, but these have been done manually, not using the import tool. The only material that was imported via the tool was that for pages from the two sites named above.

  Hi Terry,

  I cleared out the previous import. Could you give it a try again and see if it works any better? Let me know how it goes!

  Thanks. I’ve initiated the import, and waiting to see what happens. I’ll report back once i know.

  The import seems stuck in limbo, neither completed, nor crashed. I began the import just before 11pm UK time, and now (8:30 am), it continues to say, “We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. ”

  Thanks for alerting us! There was a weird error in the log for the import, so I’ve restarted it for you. Let me know if it still doesn’t go through and I’ll take a closer look at the file. :)
