Import problems – missing files

  I am migrating my site from one hosting company to another. I have the lastest version of wordpress running on the new host as well as the old one. I go to the export page and download the xml file to my computer. I then sign in to my new wordpress blog. At the import page I click import. Everything seems to be going fine. I then click “view my website”. The new blog has all of the older listings but I am missing the last six months of posts. July 07 to Jan 08 do not appear. What am I doing wrong?

  You need to inquire over at http://wordpress.org/support/ as wordpress.com is a free-hosted site running on different software than you are using and few, if any here know anything about the software you are using.
