import reported successful, but no blog entries appear

  I’m moving from Squarespace to WordPress.com

  Squarespace exports as Movable Type.

  Uploading the file under Tools, Import appears to work, and I receive the confirmation email that it was successful.

  But the imported entries (there should be at least 22-24 of them) do not show up on the blog or dashboard.

  Would having the blog set to private cause this problem?

  I don’t have an answer for you as to why this is happening and have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

  Follow-up: I also tried importing the Squarespace export file into typepad.com first, which worked. I then exported out from typepad.com and tried importing that file into WordPress.com.

  Same result; none of the imported posts are showing, even though I have received the email saying it was successful.
