Import says it’s running but it is not.

    I tried to run an import but it did not appear to be running so I tried to run it again. I got an error saying an import is already running and so I waited. No posts were ever imported even after 7+ hours. So I pressed the clear button on the bottom and tried again but received the same message. I even disconnected the blog and reconnected it, tried it again and got the same exact message.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Due to the changes at tumblr there is currently heavy traffic at the WordPress.com importer so please be patient as staff work through the backlog. They need to reset your importer themselves.

    If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

    If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

    Hello,

    The import started and imported 3954 posts out of 7572 but it has been stuck on this number for the last two days. I know imports are queued but as it has already started shouldn’t it have finished?

    I’ve tried to import several times to no avail. Not one file imported. What to do next?

    It appears the Tumblr import on your site has failed about halfway through, so I’ve reset the importer so you can try again.

    If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re still experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted, but it could be a few days before your new import is processed.
