Import specific posts from one WordPress.com site to another WordPress.com site

    Hi there,

    I’d like to import specific posts from one WordPress.com site to another WordPress.com site. Is there a tool for Mac (or for Windows) available that works similar to the Import/Export functionality which can be found in the Admin/Tools section, but, with the addition of removing unneeded post for the new WordPress.com site?

    When you export posts you’ll have the option to specify the date range of the posts you export as well as only exporting posts from a certain category or tag or by a certain author. The easiest would be to assign all posts you want to export to a specific category and export only those posts. Afterwards you can just delete that category again from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    I don’t know of any tools outside wordpress.com that will allow you to do this and the support docs also don’t mention any.
