import sql file into current wordpress blog

  I has an old wordpress blog that was backed up via an sql file. How do I import that into my current wordpress blog? Thanks.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You cannot import the sql file. All you can import into a free hosted WordPress.com blog is an XML file. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  You can import what you have into a WordPress.org install running on the latest version of WordPress first and then create an XML export file which you will be able to import into the WordPress.com blog.

  How do I install the sql file into wordpress.org? Where? How? Sorry, I’m lost.

  If you do not have a WordPress.org install then you cannot do what I suggested. You cannot import any sql file into a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
