Import stuck

Any insight on how to get my import to go through?
“We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”

This site https://runtomunch.com/ does not appear to have been updated for a long time ie. since December 2013. Is that the site you are trying to import content into?
If not please post the URL of the site referred to here.
- Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
- If yes, what is the URL?
- How large is the XML export file?
- Did you remove all spam, advertising and unmoderated comments before creating the XML export file?
Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the XML export file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the XML export file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

Hi timethief,
I am trying to import content and update runtomunch to 2017 content.
The XML file is over 15mb. That failed in uploading. I gzip’d it, to shrink it down to 2mb, which wordpress importer accepted. It probably looks like there’s another silent error somewhere in that importer.
If I can get a mod to unstuck it, I can then actually shrink down the XML, instead of compressing it.
