Import stuck

  My import from an XML wordpress.org file didn’t work entirely: It’s stuck on the “check back within 24 hours” message. I imported an XML file but it’s been stuck in this position for the last 3 days. I cleared cache & cookies on my browser but nothing has changed… Pages, posts, categories and comments have been imported but it doesn’t seem like any media has. Additionally, since I have more posts to import from the previous wordpress.org blog, I’d like to figure out how to unblock the “We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed” message from Tools > Import.
  So to recap:
  1) Media (Photos) haven’t been imported
  2) Can’t get rid of ‘We’re processing” message under Tools > Import
