"Import successful" email but now changes on blog

  Recently I had decided to update some of my custom CSS boxes that I use on my blog. I exported the .xml file and made several changes and then imported it back (Dashboard > Tools > Import > WordPress). I received an email:

  Your WordPress import was successful.

  http://linuxtidbits.wordpress.com

  — the WordPress.com team

  However, I don’t see the changes to the blog. I waited 24 hours after this and tried again but still no changes are made. What do I need to do?

  same thing happened to me,
  it said completed.
  but no imported post appeared ;(

  Posts were imported, ooops. I thought that this process served as a backup and when importing would replace the previous ones; rather, it ‘added’ just another.
