Import taking too long?

  Importing from Xanga…I can see the content but when I try to upload the next file, it says it’s still uploading. It’s been more 24 hours.

  Hi there,
  I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance with your import. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  After they give you a hand with this note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually before your import will show up on WordPress.com.

  Thank you – I was able to restart the upload….but now it seems to be stuck again :/ Help!

  I tried again on Wednesday (I think?) to start uploading a third time and it has never finished. Seems to be frozen again. I was able to do the first three or four files of my xanga import with no trouble…why does it keep freezing up now? Thanks for any additional help you can provide!

  I’ve reset the importer for you.

  Are you running into trouble with the same import file? If so, you might try switching to the WordPress importer type rather than the Xanga one to see if that helps.
