Import theme from Campuspress

  Hello! I just purchased the Business plan on WordPress. I built a portfolio site on Campuspress while in school. I am trying to import the site into WordPress, but the same theme is not available. How can I import a theme from Campuspress into WordPress? Is it possible? The theme I want is called Writr on Campuspress. Thank you!

  Me again… I found this newsletter page by google searching “writr theme” so it looks like it was once an option. Perhaps it has been removed since its addition in 2013…

  Hi there!

  Yes, the theme you’re referring to has been retired. We recommend choosing a newer theme that works with the Full Site Editor. Not only do you get to edit various parts of the theme directly using the Site Editor, but the newer themes are also compatible with the newer blocks available today.

  Having said that, your WordPress.com Business plan allows you to upload and install themes as well. That means, technically, you can download the theme and install it on your site. However, as you’ll see on the theme page, it hasn’t been updated for 2 years (as it’s a retired theme), so it’s not a good idea to use it on a site.
