Import tool and move the .org blog to another plataform

  Hello. I a blog on wordpress.org but now I want to keep the blog simple and move it to wordpress.com. But the import/export tool is not available anymore. I heard it was gone about two months ago. I don’t think I can move the posts, images, comments to another free hosting and I really wanted to keep with wordpress, anyway. But not as an professional blog, just an small one. So I have the .xml file but what can I do with it? Isn’t there any way I could use wordpress.com without losing my things? Or move do blogger, if there’s no other option.
