Import wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  We are importing our wordpress.com blog to wordpress.org, and it is stuck in the process. Our wordpress.com blog is light, and does not contain any video or heavy content.
  Could you please help us fix this problem and import our wordpress.com website on wordpress.org?

  hi,
  How are you trying to import your site into WordPress.org? Do you have the XML file? How big is that XML file? Some times a big file can cause issues with importing into WordPress. Please try importing again. If importing fails, try exporting the XML file again form your WordPress.com site and try again.

  Hi,
  Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately the importing process is still stuck, so we can’t try importing again. And we haven’t started our blog yet, so the XML file isn’t big. Is there a way to fix this importing problem?

  Sorry about the delayed response. Did you manage to import the xml file? Is it still stuck. We can ask a staff to look into this if you still have any issues.

  WordPress.com can only help with import issues when you’re importing a site into WordPress.com. If you’re having trouble importing your content onto a self-hosted (WordPress.org) site, you’ll need to follow the troubleshooting steps in the WordPress.org guide to Importing Content. If the information there doesn’t resolve the issue for you, your web host or the WordPress.org forums are a good resource for getting further advice for that site. Best of luck!
