  import Xanga files it says that it’s not an xml file, but it is clearly marked “.xml”

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually before your import will show up on WordPress.com.

  It looks like you successfully imported your first and second .xml files from your Xanga import. Are you running into difficulties on subsequent imports?

  If so, you might try switching between the Xanga and the generic WordPress importer in the Import section (the WordPress tool also accepts .xml) and let me know if you have any further issues with this.
