import xml pages and posts into WordPress

I wish to import using the xml import tool, but for our entire Website and connect those translated pages to the English version pages. I was told we cannot do this. Is it true? If so, why offer the export/import tools? Please help me understand my options.
Also, in order to test this, I am not able to only export one specific page, but all pages. Unless I have to use a filter of some sort? Can I do this, and how?FYI
I am using our own translating tool (Swordfish) with a Translation Memory (TM) so we can have all our terms together in our Terminology Database.Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Linda. Even I am trying to export everything from one blog and then importing to another blog (on different id) (both wordpress.com).
I got all the posts and comments and likes, etc, but my media files havnt been imported.I am really confused too, how I can import all my media files too.

Can you tell me more able how this works? What type of connection are you looking for?
We do not have a translation tool built in for user sites, but we do have some information about setting up a multilingual site on WordPress.com here:
