Important posts on the right sidebar

  How can I display on the right sidebar the links to a number of posts I consider key posts in my blog no matter when they were published?

  Make a text widget with that list and put it in the right sidebar.

  Yeah, I tried that but I can’t put them as a link, how can I do that?

  Text widgets have to be written as code.

  My shortcut is to write them as draft Posts, and use the visual editor to make them look however I want. Once they’re right, I click to the Text editor, copy all the text, and paste that in the widget.

  Alternatives:
  1) Copy the URLs of those posts, go to Links > Add New and create links to them, adding a “Key Posts” category to all of them; then go to Appearance > Widgets, drag a Links widget to sidebar, select the Key Posts category from the first pulldown, click Save
  2) Go to Appearance > Menus, click the plus sign to create a menu, give it a name, click Create Menu; select the posts from the Posts module, click Add to Menu; drag to change order, click Save Menu. Then go to Appearance > Widgets, drag a Custom Menu widget to sidebar, select the menu you created, save.
