Imported a xml file extracted from Xanga but cannot import the third one

  I have been trying to import xml files from xanga to my site. Although the system kept sending emails telling me that the import is successful, the imports have not been done after the 3rd xml file and so on. I have tried multiple times but the system failed to import them. May I know he reason behind this, please? Thank you in advance!

  The importer isn’t stuck, so it must be a different problem. Were you able to get some of the files to import correctly?

  Hi, i am experiencing the same problem too. Mine seems stuck from 4th xml file. Email says the import was successful but the wordpress blog didn’t show up any new entries :(

  this means i have about 2 years worth of entries in that last xml file missing….

  Mine is chinon13.wordpress.com

  I am only able to get the content in the 1st and 2nd xml files. When I import the 3rd and so on, the email tells me importing is successful, although there is nothing imported actually.

  If the first files worked, and the later ones didn’t, there is likely a problem with the remaining export files. Are you able re-export your files and try again with the new files?

  I have tried re-download the export files from xanga and tried importing again. But the problem persists. The importing is stuck at the 3rd file.

  If the new file isn’t working, the the export is most likely corrupted, which means we might not be able to fix it. There is one more thing to try.

  I’m going to send you a private email so you can send me the export file. We’ll see if I have better luck.
