Imported blog not showing up

    I just set up hosting with Host gator and am using wordpress.org. I exported my blog from the talesoftinyboots.wordpress.com and imported it on my thetalesoftinyboots.com on wordpress.org. It imported but when I go on my site it’s still a blank blog – only displaying the ‘hello new world’ post. When I go into the post section on my dashboard, there are no posts there. I am unsure how to resolve this issue, what am I doing wrong?

    Here is a step-by-step guide to moving your WordPress.com blog to a self-hosted WordPress blog: https://move.wordpress.com/exportimport-content/.

    I have shared specifically the 4th step that is Export / Import Content, however, you can hover on any of the steps or look it from the beginning using the navigation given to your left on this page.

    I followed a youtube tutorial and have definitely imported it correctly, but none of my content is showing up. It’s as if it hasn’t imported at all, only I did import :/ I tried to import again incase I did it wrong, and this came up:

    Page “Contact” already exists.
    Media “Placeholder Image” already exists.
    Media “header1” already exists.
    Media “cropped-header1.png” already exists.
    Media “cropped-header14.png” already exists.
    Media “profilepic” already exists.
    Media “profilepic” already exists.
    Page “About” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0004” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0012” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0018” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0024” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0030” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0019-3” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0047” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0049” already exists.
    Media “DSC_0050” already exists.”

    So the import did seem to work, just don’t know why none of it is showing up or why none of my posts are in my post section

    Hi @thetalesoftinyboots.

    When I visit https://thetalesoftinyboots.wordpress.com I can see posts and content.

    When you visit your site are you seeing some of your content but not all of it, or none of your content at all?

    If you still aren’t seeing any of your content on your end you may try clearing your browser cache and trying a Force Refresh.

    Let me know if that takes care of it. If not, we can dig a bit deeper and get things squared away for you. :)

    Yeah the content is on my wordpress.com but I’ve imported it to my [new site] http://www.thetalesoftinyboots.com (wordpress org) and its not showing up there :/

    Ok, that makes more sense. Sorry I missed that!

    This particular forum deals with sites that are hosted here at WordPress.com. It sounds like your export from your site here was successful since you are seeing the messages about the content existing when you try to re-import.

    You may want to post your question over on the WordPress.org support forum for self-hosted installs, or contact HostGator or MojoMarketplace support (I see a MOJO splash screen when I view your site).
