Imported from old WordPress site – images pointing to old URL

  Hi!

  I’ve just imported all my posts from my old WordPress.com site into my new one.
  The media is importing fine – it appears in my media library and in the posts.
  However in the posts the media URL is still pointing to the old site…

  When I exported from the old site, I initially selected just ‘Posts’ (as I didn’t want any pages or anything to come in and mess up my site.)

  Is there an easy way to update the image URLs in my posts to the new site? Will exporting and importing ‘Media’ fix this, or will it create duplicates in my media library?

  I’m also having this issue, but I exported the entire blog.

  I figured out a solution for this.

  Find your exported XML file from your old blog, then open it up in a text editor (preferably one with a find and replace functionality).

  Find all instances of your old URL, and replace it with your new URL. Then import the new XML file into your site.

  You should be good to go now!
