Imported videos from posterous won't play

  I imported my entire site complete with text, photos, & video to wordpress and everything looks great except the videos won’t show up or play. I could only get one to play. How can this be fixed?

  Hi there!

  The videos are there, but for some reason they are being displayed as a link to the video file rather than embedded.

  I’m having one of our developers take a look why that is happening and I will get back to you once I have more information.

  Hello – thanks for your patience.

  We did some checking and it seems that something went wrong in your import.

  I wanted to check with you to see if it would be OK for us to empty out your posts to have you try the import again. If possible, see if you can download a new export file as Posterous has changed a few things in how their export works, so I want to make sure we use the most recent version of your old site.

  If you can get back to me with the OK to proceed, I’ll let you know when you can try the import again.

  Sorry for the delay. You have the OK to proceed. Please let me know when I can try the import again. Posterous will be going down for good at the end of April so there is not much time.

  I have emptied the site and you can try the import again. Make sure you use a fresh export of your Posterous site.

  Let me know if you still have trouble.
