importer does not work

    I am trying to import web contents from another wordpress (godaddy) site to a new free wordpress site. I exported a xml file from the old wordpress site, and then imported it to the new site, and got the message ‘We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours,…’. However nothing has happened since over 24 hours ago. Please help.
