Importer keeps failing?!

I’m trying to import my wordpress blog to self hosted and it skipped 3 years and I’ve refreshed and tried again and three new post showed up. I’ve requested new export files/links thinking my file if corrupt and never received any new links to download. Why am I having this problem?

I do not see any pending import at the moment. Try importing the XML file again:

If you are still missing posts, I can see if I can import it on my end. As @Timethief mentioned, the size of the file may be the issue. Keep me updated.

I have requested new sport files from my stylishfaith.wordpress.com site and have not received anything.
I have two xml files. One is 2.7mb and the other like 576kb. I’m importing my wordpress to my self hosted WordPress stylishfaith.com/wp-admin

Ah, I understand — you are actually exporting rather than importing, right?
I’ve just made an export for you and sent a link via email.
If you can’t import it your own installation, your host may be able to help, or you could use the Guided Transfer service. Good luck!

Can you verify the email address here is correct and that you’re able to receive mail there? I checked just now and your mail server is sending the mail back saying that address does not exist:

I just updated it. I’m not sure why it bounced back I’m able to send. Can you please try again?

I tried the new exported files and imported them. I replied to your email with screen shots. Still missing over 50 blog post.

If you’re missing 50 posts, try importing again. Your new host probably timed out.
When you import again, the importer will skip anything that was already imported, so feel free to run it as many times as you need.

I did and only one new post showed up. I have a total of 161 post but only 55 have imported over.

@stylishfaith, you can try using a “WXR Splitter” — if you’ll search for that term you should find some. They would need to be imported one at a time.
You can also try getting in touch with your host to see if they can increase the time allowed for importing.
