importer running for months without actually importing everything

Hello there,
I’ve reset the importer state for you, so you should be able to reattempt that import.
If this is a persistent issue, we should probably take a look at that. Can you offer more details as to what you’re importing to and from please?
If possible, are you able to upload an XML import file, into the media library please, so that we can take a look at that.

Nope. The ‘reset’ doesn’t seem to have actually reset anything. I thought I’d give it a couple days and some cache clearing again, but no luck. Other than that, I don’t know what you are talking about with uploading import files, so I can’t help there. Except to say this is an old tumblr account. I’m trying to import the last couple months of posts so I can finally give up and delete the thing, it’s worthless. (I thought you were both part of the same company? Why is importing always such an issue? never mind, rhetorical…) I seem to have to make multiple requests about this importing issue to get wordpress working every time. It’s frustrating.

Hmm. I tried resetting once more from this end, and I don’t see an indicator that an import is running.
Do you want to try again?
Also, it would help us to know why you’re importing content so frequently.
We are the same company now, yes, but imports can still be resource intensive though, so they can get stuck, especially if there’s a lot to import. It might be something about the files you’re adding. I’m not sure.
