Nous avons créé un site “propulsé” par WordPress avec l’aide d’un développeur qui ferme aujourd’hui son entreprise : http://domainederevel.com/
Il nous a conseillé de migrer notre site vers la plateforme, pour qu’en cas de problèmes informatiques, les développeurs de WordPress puissent les régler, ce que notre développeur faisait jusqu’à maintenant.
Mais nous rencontrons un problème : nous avons entamé les démarches pour créer un site, puis exporter/importer notre site existant (ce que notre développeur nous a dit de faire). Or nous ne savons pas (et notre développeur non plus) s’il faut cliquer maintenant sur “Utiliser un domaine que je possède”… Est-ce la bonne marche à suivre ? Nous avons peur de cliquer et que tout notre site disparaisse…

If you choose to use your own domain, you’ll be able to either transfer it or map it. Neither of those two options will make your old site disappear but it may make it inaccessible because the domain will lead to the new site.
That being said, you can use the free WordPress.com subdomain while you’re working on your site and only map/transfer your domain when the site’s ready.
