Import/export gone wrong

I wanted to split my blog into two, so that I could have the content divided into public info and private info, and so I exported my blog to my computer, and imported it into another wordpress domain. That worked fine, but I realized after deleting everything on my original blog and my new private blog that it was not what I wanted, since it would only be accessible to wordpress users. So i went back to my original blog (byloverefined.wordpress.com) to import what I had previously saved onto my computer from the original byloverefined format, in order to restore it to the original format…and now all of my content is gone. I could cry. Please help.

Do you still have the xml file you used to import the content to the second blog? If so you should be able to simply import it again.
You can also check the Trash tab on both your All Posts and All Pages screens in the dashboard. It might still be possible to recover the content from there.

Glad you didn’t lose everything. Keep in mind that you can mark individual posts as private if you don’t want people to see them. You don’t need a completely separate blog for that.
